I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. I attended a four year Foreign Language Concentrated High School where I learned English vocabulary, grammar and speaking and graduated in 2001. The same year I scored 98 out of 100 question long English University exam performed by Turkish Higher Education Council. I was on top 268 in 15,000 people. Upon my success I got acceptance to Istanbul University's Department of Translation Studies in English, one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey.

I studied four years in Istanbul University, during which I worked as a freelance translator, newspaper translator and hotel manager. Upon graduation I started working as an in-house full time Turkish translator for a leading translation agency in Istanbul. I translated various texts covering technical, medical, legal and business related matters. Later on I secured an assistant manager position at a direct communication and marketing firm where I did perform translation, interpretation and correspondence duties between the company and the international direct marketing association.

In 2007, I moved to New York, America to pursue my career in the heart of the world. I completed my MBA education in Goldey Beacom College in 2010 and have been working as the Head of Translation Department in a leading Translation Agency since 2008.
